In a recent episode of the ‘Pod Meets World’ podcast, actress Danielle Fishel shared a rather embarrassing yet amusing anecdote from her travels with co-hosts Will Friedle and Rider Strong, revealing a ‘repulsive’ experience involving laxatives. The trio, who gained fame in the 1990s starring in the beloved series ‘Boy Meets World’, reminisced about their time on the show and the closeness that has developed between them over the years.
The podcast episode, released on 25 June, featured a segment titled “Q&A Meets World: The End of the Recap Era”. Here, Fishel, who played the iconic character Topanga Lawrence, recalled the challenges that accompany travelling as part of a touring group. She spoke candidly about how her regular bathroom habits tended to falter when away from home, leading to a distressing yet comical situation during one particular trip.
“I don’t always keep my same bathroom habits when I travel. Unfortunately, my body just changes,” Fishel admitted, reflecting on an incident where she found herself unable to relieve herself for several days. In desperation, she opted for some potent laxatives, much to the surprise of her co-stars.
As laughter filled the conversation, Friedle, known for his role as Eric Matthews, chimed in with his own recollection, stating, “We had to pull over on the side of the road.” The trio’s candid discussion continued, with Fishel recalling her visit to what she described as the “most repulsive Porta-Potty” at a nearby service station—a memory that will likely linger for years.
