On New Year’s Eve 2022, Rita Zajko reached out to her daughter via text message, expressing regret over a rift that had developed between them. Unfortunately, her message went unanswered. Hours later, Rouse reported that an individual or individuals arrived at the Zajko residence, resulting in the couple being shot dead.
