But they’re doing a great job keeping these babies happy,” he added.
Jessica Ange, a labour and delivery nurse, echoed Richard’s sentiment, describing the myriad of emotions felt by the staff throughout the day. “There was excitement, there was a little bit of panic, and a lot of emotions flowing through the process. But the best part was seeing the parents’ reactions when they met their babies for the first time and hearing their cries,” she recalled.
As the two families settle into their new routines, they face the fun challenge of distinguishing their identical daughters. Richard expressed their light-hearted strategy, saying: “We were thinking about some kind of fingernail polish or toe polish to differentiate them. Do a little colour matching for each one.”
