Acosta, 55, and Landers, 35, first crossed paths while working at CNN, where their relationship blossomed into romance. Their engagement took place on New Year’s Eve in Hawaii, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives together.

In a heartfelt reflection prior to the wedding, Landers spoke of her deep connection to the venue. She revealed that her grandfather, a retired Army general, frequently spent time at the Army Navy Country Club. “I have so many memories of family meals and summer camp there as a kid,” she shared. “It’s very special to be getting married there, and I know my grandfather’s presence will be felt.”
The wedding itself featured personal elements that made the event unique. The ceremony was officiated by Landers’ college friend, John Lapin, and included readings by Acosta’s siblings. Guests were treated to music performed by a string duet, creating an intimate atmosphere that complemented the celebration.
Landers chose an elegant attire for the occasion, donning a Kyha dress paired with a custom veil designed by Eric Javits. To complete her bridal look, she opted for Christian Louboutin heels and adorned herself with jewellery handed down from her mother’s family. Acosta, looking equally dapper, selected a tuxedo designed by Geoffrey Lewis for his special day.
On social media, Acosta shared glimpses from the wedding festivities, including touching moments with his mother during the reception. The event was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles, adding a warm and romantic glow to the celebration. Pictures of the couple sharing their first dance and joyful interactions with guests were also widely circulated on their Instagram accounts.
Among the notable guests were former White House security official Olivia Troye and political commentator Tara Setmayer, who shared their own videos from the event online, adding to the festive atmosphere that filled the venue.
To encourage guest interaction, the couple provided an old-fashioned telephone guest book at the reception, allowing attendees to share advice for the newlyweds. This charming detail added a personal touch to the overall experience.
Following their wedding, Acosta and Landers plan to embark on a honeymoon in Capri, Italy. Despite the public nature of their professions, the couple had chosen to maintain a relatively private relationship leading up to their engagement. Now, they look forward to building a life together as husband and wife.
As they begin this new journey, the couple’s love story serves as a reminder of the heartwarming unions that can emerge amid the demanding world of journalism.
