### Collins Aerospace Unveils Innovative SkyNook Design for Air Travel Comfort

SkyNook incorporates a deployable privacy screen alongside a convertible console. Recently, Collins Aerospace’s innovative touch was recognised at the Aircraft Interiors Expo held in Hamburg, Germany, where the SkyNook design won the prestigious Crystal Cabin Award for Passenger Comfort. Described by Collins Aerospace as a “semi-private retreat located at the aft of a widebody aircraft”, the SkyNook seeks to elevate the experience for families, passengers with service animals, those with sensory sensitivities, and individuals carrying fragile or oversized items. Thanks to a thoughtfully designed privacy wall that encases the two seats in the last row, the new structure aims to offer passengers an escape from cabin noise and the distractions of foot traffic, including queues for the restroom and access to the galley.
A unique aspect of widebody aircraft is the tapering of the cabin towards the rear, which often results in a triple economy seat becoming a double in the last row.
