Edwards detailed that she had developed a friendship with Allman over the years and that they shared a brief romantic involvement in 2010, during which they conceived Ever. However, she maintained that Allman did not take on the responsibilities of parenthood, stating that he had been absent from Ever’s life for most of her upbringing and had only made sporadic visits.

In her recent interview, Edwards explained that Ever had always believed Allman to be merely a family friend until the truth of her parentage came to light.
