After spending nearly two years navigating bureaucratic hurdles, a couple from New Jersey has finally succeeded in securing their marriage certificate, bringing an end to a frustrating chapter in their lives. Anne Cioffi and Anthony Lobosco faced significant difficulties after discovering errors on their original marriage license, which was issued following a courthouse ceremony in Newark on May 17, 2024.

Cioffi and Lobosco had been together for six years and decided to tie the knot before welcoming their baby, Luca. Lobosco voiced his concerns about their situation, saying, “The biggest problem is just, you know, being in limbo. Are we married or are we not? Was there a mistake? Do we have to get married again?”

Members of the group offered their support and encouraged the couple to reach out to a news outlet for help. Following their guidance, the couple contacted ABC7NY’s “7 on Your Side” segment, which often addresses community issues.
