Estee Williams, a well-known content creator, recently shared a heartfelt update regarding her daughter Estelle, who has been battling significant health issues since her birth on September 5, 2025. Estelle was born with a ventricular septal defect (VSD), a congenital heart defect involving a hole in the heart wall that separates the heart’s lower chambers. Due to a series of complications that have arisen since her birth, Estelle remains in hospital care, dependent on life support and awaiting a heart transplant.

In an emotional message shared with her 108,000 Instagram followers, Estee revealed that Estelle has been on dialysis since April 3, 2026. The infant’s health took a downturn recently, as she experienced complications due to abnormal fluid in her body. Estee described this challenging period as a “rough patch,” reflecting the ongoing difficulties the family faces as they navigate Estelle’s medical journey.
Unfortunately, the situation is further complicated by the presence of sepsis and a blood-clotting disorder known as disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Because of these additional health challenges, Estelle is not currently eligible for a heart transplant, a significant setback for the family who had been hopeful about her progress. Estee expressed her disappointment, stating that they had been near the top of the transplant list in the Northeast but are now left to trust in “God’s timing.”
Estee and her husband Conner have maintained a strong spirit throughout Estelle’s health crises. In her update, Estee referred to her daughter as her “little miracle baby,” a testament to the bond and the hope they continue to hold for her recovery. She took this opportunity to express gratitude towards Estelle’s medical team, emphasising how blessed they have felt to have such dedicated professionals looking after their child during this extraordinarily difficult period.
The complications surrounding Estelle’s condition began with what was initially thought to be a routine repair surgery for her VSD in November 2025. However, the surgeons discovered that the defect was significantly larger than anticipated—measuring approximately three centimetres wide, much larger than what is typically seen in such cases. This revelation alarmingly altered the prognosis, as Estelle’s heart had grown to the size of an orange, rather than the expected walnut size, due to the strain of working harder to pump blood through the defect.
Tragically, just two days before Christmas 2025, Estelle suffered a cardiac arrest, leading to her being placed on ECMO life support. This external ventricular assist device helps support her heart while she awaits a transplant. Estee has noted that Estelle is one of only 60 children globally currently being supported by this particular device, which highlights the severity of her condition.
Despite these overwhelming challenges, Estee maintains a resolute optimism about her daughter’s health. She detailed how Estelle’s medical team is working diligently to clear her other organs for heart transplant eligibility following a recent setback. She expressed her belief that they will eventually overcome the hurdles, reiterating their family’s faith in the process and the eventual outcome.
