Donald Eugene Fields II has entered a guilty plea to charges of child sex trafficking in a federal court in Missouri. His admission came during proceedings on Thursday, April 9, where he acknowledged exchanging valuable items for access to a young girl.

Fields, aged 61, faced serious allegations regarding his involvement with a 14-year-old girl. In court, he confessed to accepting cash, a car, a motorcycle, Christmas gifts, and holiday trips in return for allowing a friend and co-defendant access to the minor. The US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri issued a statement detailing the extent of Fields’ involvement in this disturbing case.
The duration of the illicit activities spanned from the winter of 2013 until the summer of 2016. During this period, Theodore “Ted” John Sartori Sr., the co-defendant in this case, engaged in unlawful sexual acts with the minor while compensating Fields with financial and material benefits. Notably, prosecutors indicated that Sartori orchestrated a trip to Florida in 2016 specifically to exploit the girl, with Fields allegedly directing her to participate in the abuse.
Fields was initially indicted on child sex trafficking charges in December 2022. His subsequent failure to appear in court resulted in his inclusion on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. Law enforcement ultimately apprehended him in January 2025 during a routine traffic stop in Lady Lake, Florida, when police discovered his wanted status.
The court proceedings highlight the grave nature of the charges against Fields. With his guilty plea accepted, he now faces sentencing set for July 15, 2025. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years in prison, with the possibility of a life sentence should the court impose the maximum penalty.
Sartori, the 65-year-old co-defendant, has previously entered a guilty plea for his part in the offenses. He was charged with travel intending to engage in illicit sexual conduct and is currently serving a prison sentence of ten years.
