Woman, 46, Allegedly Enters Hospital and Attacks Man with a Pink Hammer, Leaving Him in Critical Condition: Reports

A woman has been charged in relation to a violent assault that occurred at a hospital in Sydney, Australia, where she allegedly attacked a 63-year-old man with a hammer over a grievance regarding her brother’s ashes. Witnesses at the hospital recounted that Graham alerted nurses about her concerns, alleging that the man had “stolen my brother’s ashes.” Upon being approached by a night nurse, who informed her that visiting hours had ended, she insisted on speaking to the man before attacking him at his bedside. The severity of the assault has been vividly described, with reports stating that the man suffered a seizure as blood and air entered his brain due to the impact.

In court, the judge dismissed arguments made by Graham’s defence attorneys, who claimed that she was suffering from anxiety and nerve damage in her right arm. As a consequence, bail was refused, with the judge ordering Graham to remain in custody until a hearing later in June.
