In a heart-wrenching revelation, authorities have confirmed that the remains found along the Ohio River belong to Jyronna Dion Parker, a Marine Corps veteran who vanished in October 2025. His body was discovered in Ashland Park, Clarkesville, Indiana, on March 22, 2026, leading to an outpouring of grief and reflection on his storied life.
The Clarkesville Police Department reported the grim discovery around 6 p.m. local time, after which an autopsy was conducted. The remains were identified through a comparison of dental records with a lower jawbone retrieved at the scene. At the age of 54, Parker had been living in Lexington, Kentucky, prior to his disappearance.
Parker was last seen in the early hours of October 17, 2025, in the vicinity of Maggie Cove in Lexington. Following his sudden disappearance, a Green Alert was issued by the Lexington Police Department, which was later rescinded as the investigation into his whereabouts continued.
