Jen Shah, a prominent figure on the reality television series “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” has reunited with her family after almost three years behind bars. The reality star was released from the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, on December 10, 2025, and is now continuing to serve her sentence under home confinement.

In an emotional interview with PEOPLE conducted in April 2026, Jen expressed her gratitude towards her husband, Sharrieff Shah, stating, “There are no words that can fully describe how grateful I am to have such a beautiful husband who stood by me.” She went on to assert that their marriage has never been stronger. This reunion comes on the heels of her conviction and sentencing for wire fraud, a case that played out publicly throughout her time on the show.
Jen Shah pleaded guilty to charges of wire fraud in July 2022 after being implicated in a nationwide telemarketing scam. Her sentencing in January 2023 resulted in a 78-month prison term, for which her husband Sharrieff and their two sons, Sharrieff Jr. and Omar, were present in the courtroom, demonstrating their unwavering support.
Sharrieff Shah, born in Los Angeles in 1971, has a rich background in sports and education. He moved to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah, where he not only earned three degrees but also cultivated a career in football. He currently serves as the associate head coach and cornerbacks coach for the Utah Utes football team, bringing extensive experience from previous roles as a sports analyst and certified football agent.
The couple’s paths first crossed during college, where they met in a classroom, marking the beginning of their relationship. Over the years, they have built a life together marked by both personal and professional evolution. After marrying in 1994, Jen converted to Islam, which was a significant shift from her upbringing in a Mormon family.
