A teacher in Florida has been arrested on serious allegations of grooming and sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl, who is the daughter of a woman he was romantically involved with. Daniel Philip Le Lievre, aged 41, was apprehended at his home in Oviedo on March 30th, following investigations that revealed troubling behaviour during his interactions with the young student.

According to police reports, Le Lievre began dating the girl’s mother in October 2023 and maintained this relationship until January 2024. During this period, the family spent significant time at Le Lievre’s home, allowing him ample opportunity to engage in predatory actions, which reportedly included sexual abuse.
The investigation revealed appalling details about Le Lievre’s misconduct. Officers allege that, on one occasion, he followed the girl to the bathroom late at night and assaulted her.
