In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Tim shared insights into their post-show relationship and their upcoming travels, revealing that life has been “amazing.”
Tim entered the *Love Overboard* yacht in Malta with modest expectations, uncertain if he would find lasting love. During filming, he expressed to PEOPLE that he hadn’t been in a serious relationship for eight years and was merely “playing the field.” However, his experience on the dating series radically transformed his outlook, enabling him to forge a genuine connection with Gia.
The couple, crowned as the first winners by the show’s host Gabby Windey, was rewarded with a life-changing prize — a trip around the globe. Although they formed a profound bond on the show, Tim has been somewhat elusive regarding the status of their relationship since then. Although they approached the show with confidence in their relationship, Tim acknowledged that even if they hadn’t won, the bond they developed was still a significant achievement. “We found each other. So even if we got eliminated throughout this process, we’re fine,” he explained.
