A 25-year-old man from Taiwan lost his life after a tragic incident at the Fossil Creek Lower Waterfalls in Arizona on Sunday, March 22. The victim, identified as Wei-Jie Lin, had been enjoying recreational activities at this popular tourist site, known for its scenic beauty.
Emergency responders from the Gila County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) received reports of a drowning at approximately 11:48 a.m. local time. The waterfalls, located around 24 miles southeast of Camp Verde, attract many visitors each year, drawn by their natural splendour and recreational opportunities.
Witnesses at the scene recounted the moments leading up to the tragedy. According to officials, Lin had jumped from a height of about 15 feet into the water below.
