The song had originally been performed by Aldean, who expressed his surprise and gratitude at the gathering, where the focus was on honouring his impressive achievement of 31 chart-topping songs.
Aldean, visibly moved, addressed the crowd and remarked, “This is crazy… this is wild. I feel like this is every songwriter that’s ever written on my records!” He went on to express his appreciation for his songwriting collaborators, acknowledging that they have significantly contributed to his career.
