Human Remains Found in Abandoned Well Identified as Man Who Vanished After Going Weeks Without Contacting Family

Authorities in Henry County, Tennessee, have confirmed that human remains discovered last week belong to Caleb Moore, a local man who was reported missing in December 2025. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on March 19 detailing the identification of the remains through DNA testing.

Caleb Moore was last seen around the middle of December, specifically on the 14th or 15th. His family reported him missing on December 29 after a lengthy period of silence with no communication from him. At the time of his disappearance, Moore had been described as wearing green overalls.
