U.S. State Dept. Employee Fatally Stabs 1 Woman and His Own Dog in Deadly Road Rage Incident

Jared Llamado, a 32-year-old Foreign Service Officer, has been identified as the suspect in a fatal stabbing incident that escalated from a road rage confrontation in Virginia. The Virginia State Police confirmed the details, revealing that Llamado was shot and killed by a responding officer on Sunday, March 1.

The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. local time in Fairfax County, approximately 30 minutes from Washington, D.C. Initially, police were summoned to the scene due to reports of a road rage incident. Upon arrival, a trooper encountered Llamado, who was reportedly armed with a knife. In a subsequent confrontation, the trooper discharged his weapon in what has been described as a self-defensive act.
