Sarah Elizabeth Newsom, a mother from Texas, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for her involvement in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Olivia. Newsom pleaded guilty on November 10 to one count of injury to a child by failing to protect her daughter from serious harm. The case unfolded at the 97th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, where Newsom decided to waive her right to appeal.
