The positive identification was officially communicated to Ninia by the Middletown Police Department on October 14.
In her emotional post, Ninia expressed the deep pain and sorrow the family had endured over the years. She described her son as having a kind heart and a lively spirit, always ready to help others and bring joy with his infectious energy. John Paul was known for his sense of humour and his dedication to his studies, majoring in accounting at Seton Hall University.
The grief-stricken mother thanked everyone who had supported the family throughout the search for John Paul, including those who had prayed, provided assistance, and never lost hope. She also acknowledged the efforts and perseverance of the law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation, praising their dedication to bringing closure to the family.
Private services will be held for John Paul, with plans for a celebration of life to follow at a later date. Ninia invited all who wished to honour her son’s memory to attend the celebration. She concluded her post with a heartfelt message, expressing her enduring love for her son and gratitude to all who had continued to remember him.
