Renowned jewelry designer Kendra Scott and country music star Zac Brown are preparing for a heartwarming Thanksgiving celebration this year as they come together with their blended families. The couple, who recently got engaged in July, are eagerly anticipating their first Thanksgiving as an engaged pair.

Scott, 51, expressed her admiration for Brown’s culinary skills, describing him as an exceptional cook with a cookbook to his name. She also highlighted the cooking talents of her son, Cade, who has honed his skills in restaurants since the age of 18. Scott mentioned that Brown and Cade will take the lead in preparing the Thanksgiving feast, with her happily assisting as a sous chef.

This year’s Thanksgiving gathering will mark the beginning of new traditions for the couple, as all eight of their children will be joining in the festivities at a grand celebration hosted at Scott’s barn near Austin. Scott shared, “We’re going to have about 25 people between friends, and then Zac and I have eight kids between us. We’re like the Brady Bunch — four girls, and four boys.”

Scott, who has two other sons, Beck and Grey, in addition to Cade, and Brown, who has four daughters, Justice, Lucy, Georgia, Joni, and a son named Alexander, are excited to blend their families together for this special occasion.

Amidst the holiday preparations, Scott revealed that she is occupied with travelling and gearing up for the busy season, having recently opened 25 stores. She emphasised the importance of interacting with customers in their physical stores, describing the holiday period as akin to their Super Bowl in terms of significance.

When not immersed in store-related activities, Scott remains dedicated to philanthropic endeavours through the Kendra Scott Foundation. Recently, she collaborated with singer Ciara to donate a “Yellow Library” to a school in Manhattan, aimed at promoting childhood literacy and inclusivity among children from diverse backgrounds.

Reflecting on the initiative, Scott emphasised the importance of children seeing themselves represented in literature, especially for Spanish-speaking children in Texas. By providing access to books that resonate with their experiences, Scott hopes to inspire children to envision themselves in different narratives and foster a love for reading.
