One revelation from Shay was that she doesn’t foresee Summer stepping into the world of reality television any time soon. At the tender age of five, Summer appears to have her own passions apart from the limelight. “She’s expressed that she wants to be an artist,” Shay noted, emphasising that they have already enrolled her in a new art class that she thoroughly enjoys. Shay elaborated on Summer’s creativity, saying, “She loves drawing and painting.”
Despite being related to a reality TV star, Summer seems to have her own personality and preferences. Shay described her daughter as “a little shy” but noted that she does enjoy the spotlight during special occasions. “When we set up the camera, she loves it. She even got on stage with me for my birthday and sang a few songs,” Shay reminisced fondly. Nevertheless, the young one still holds onto some shyness when it comes to her public performances.

Shay expressed her commitment to prioritising Summer’s comfort over her own broadcasting ambitions, indicating a deliberate choice to distance themselves from reality TV for the time being. “I’m not pushing any of this on her,” said Shay, acknowledging the need to evaluate what is best for her daughter. This thoughtful consideration also partly explains their current hiatus from television appearances.

The conversation shifted to Winter’s first year of school, where Shay revealed that her daughter is thriving in an “amazing private school”. She expressed her happiness, stating, “She absolutely loves the school she’s going to,” before adding that Summer has made several good friends. Such a positive school environment seems to provide a solid foundation for the young girl.
Apart from her academic pursuits, Summer is also involved in various extracurricular activities. The proud mother highlighted her daughter’s diverse interests by drawing a comparison to the Disney character Gabriella from the popular franchise, High School Musical. “She’s playing soccer, she’s in musical theatre, and she loves it,” Shay explained enthusiastically, noting her daughter’s well-rounded development.
In addition, Summer’s involvement in a math club showcases her academic versatility. “She’s thriving, and she’s in the math club,” Shay remarked, underscoring her daughter’s growing range of skills. Such engagements not only promise to nurture Summer’s confidence but also reflect Shay’s supportive approach to parenting.
As a mother navigating the complexities of fame and family life, Shay offers a glimpse into a world that combines personal ambition with parental responsibility. At 41, she demonstrates a blend of love and care, prioritising her daughter’s individuality and aspirations above all else.
Through her candid disclosures, Scheana Shay reveals a nurturing side that resonates with many parents, illustrating the joys and challenges of raising a child in the ever-watchful eye of public scrutiny. Shay’s experiences serve as a reminder that every child will carve their own path, sometimes leading far away from the immediate family legacy.
