A new two-part docuseries featuring First Lady Melania Trump is set to make its debut on Prime Video on 20 November 2023. Titled *MELANIA, The Series*, it comes less than a year after her self-titled documentary was released in cinemas. The latest project promises to provide an in-depth look into her life, focusing particularly on her close relationship with her son, Barron Trump.

The teaser for the series, released by Prime Video on 6 November, highlights the significant bond Melania shares with Barron, who is now 20 years old. In the trailer, a voiceover of Melania conveys her dedication to her son, stating, “He’s my priority. He will always be my priority.” This strong maternal sentiment is underscored by images of the pair together, indicating the personal nature of the series.
Barron, born in 2006, is the youngest child of Melania and former President Donald Trump, who has four other children from previous marriages. Melania’s protective nature towards Barron is well-known, as she has been described by sources as vigilant about his well-being, especially given the scrutiny they face in the public eye. Before his sophomore year at New York University (NYU), it was reported that she took measures to ensure he was not bullied—constantly monitoring his whereabouts and activities.

During his freshman year at NYU, rather than living on campus, Barron resided at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan. Since then, he has transferred to the university’s Washington, D.C. campus, and there have been indications that he was staying at the White House, as mentioned by Donald Trump during a Fox News interview in November 2025.
Donald Trump has openly discussed Melania’s deep affection for Barron, noting her preference for their son over him in a light-hearted remark during a press conference in August 2025. “She loves children… she has a wonderful son that she loves probably more than anybody, including me,” he quipped, revealing the dynamics within the family.
In public comments, Donald affectionately referred to Barron as Melania’s “boy,” emphasising her pride in their son. These remarks were made during a Congressional Ball in December 2025, where he expressed confidence that Melania’s initiatives would have a positive impact on children, reflecting her dedication to family and youth issues.
Melania’s protective instincts have become more pronounced since her husband’s re-election, as there have been concerns regarding the political environment’s effect on Barron. Sources close to the family have reiterated her desire to shield him from the political backlash often directed towards the Trump family. “Melania worries about the hate in the country and how it falls on her son, who is innocent of any of this,” noted a source.
The new series comes in the wake of Melania’s previous documentary, which opened to $7.04 million and was sold to Amazon MGM Studios for $40 million. Directed by Brett Ratner, that film offered glimpses into her life leading up to Donald Trump’s second inauguration in January 2025. As executive producer, Melania has played an active role in shaping her narrative.
Promoting the upcoming docuseries, Melania described it as an opportunity for deeper conversations, where she will address personal questions that have not been previously explored. She expressed excitement about offering viewers a more intimate understanding of her life and perspectives during an appearance on *Fox & Friends*.
As the premiere date approaches, anticipation surrounds *MELANIA, The Series*, which aims to blend personal storytelling with the public persona of the First Lady. The release is poised to spark discussions on her role as a mother, a wife, and a prominent figure within the sphere of American politics.
