Savannah Chrisley, star of the reality show ‘Chrisley Knows Best,’ has revealed that she is anticipating her first child with husband Jason Galanis. The announcement comes after the couple secretly tied the knot in July. Chrisley’s joyful news about her pregnancy was shared during an episode of her podcast, “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley,” on Tuesday, 3 November.

In the podcast, which featured her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley, Savannah recounted the moment she discovered she was expecting. Interestingly, she did not learn of her pregnancy until after a luxurious trip. She and Galanis were holidaying on a yacht in Palm Beach when they conceived their child, but it was during a later journey when Savannah began to suspect that something was amiss.
“I really didn’t think there was a chance in the world that I could be pregnant,” Savannah admitted. The couple was enjoying their time aboard the Four Seasons yacht, where they were greeted with Dom Perignon champagne upon departure. However, Savannah found the champagne’s taste off-putting, saying it reminded her of peanuts, which puzzled her husband.
As the couple settled into their trip, Savannah began to experience what she thought were symptoms of seasickness. “Everything was moving. I was so seasick, and so they moved us to a lower floor,” she explained. Reflecting on that time, Savannah now believes her discomfort was not seasickness at all but rather early signs of her pregnancy.
As her trip progressed, Savannah experienced cramping and initially assumed it was a sign that her period was about to begin. She noted that her menstrual cycle has never been regular, so she did not think much of it. However, on the cruise’s stop in Turkey, an unexpected turn of events prompted her to take action.
Realising her period was five days late, Savannah decided to purchase a pregnancy test from a pharmacy in Turkey. “I didn’t even take it that night,” she confessed, “I just forgot to. But then I’m on ChatGPT, checking the instructions as they were in Turkish.”
The following morning, curiosity got the better of her, and she finally took the test. “When I tell you it came back immediately, it was immediate,” Savannah recalled. Her reaction was one of shock as she realised that she was, in fact, pregnant. “I was like, ‘Oh my god,’” she exclaimed.
In a heartwarming post shared on Instagram, Savannah revealed that she and her husband are expecting a baby boy. This joyous announcement came shortly after PEOPLE confirmed their secret wedding at Cayman Islands Baptist Church on 14 July.
Savannah first disclosed her pregnancy to the world during an episode of her podcast on 27 October, as well as through a video on her social media platform. The couple’s journey into parenthood appears to have a promising start, as they navigate this exciting new chapter in their lives.
With the couple’s recent nuptials and impending parenthood, Savannah Chrisley is certainly embracing a season of significant change—a journey filled with love and anticipation for the future.
