Kelker-Kelly’s wife, Allison Kelly, previously recounted a series of troubling symptoms her husband experienced in the hours leading up to his death. According to a police report, she picked him up from Spirit Airport at around 7:30 p.m. that evening, and during the drive home, he began to complain of discomfort, specifically pain in his chest and left arm.
In distress, Kelker-Kelly requested that his wife pull over due to an urgent need to vomit. Although Allison offered to take him to the hospital, he opted to return home instead, choosing to rest in familiar surroundings. However, upon arriving home, his condition appeared to worsen. He requested an aspirin from his wife, a seemingly simple remedy that tragically turned out to be insufficient.

Allison Kelly later returned to their bedroom only to find her husband unresponsive and not breathing. In a frantic attempt to save him, she immediately called for emergency assistance and began administering CPR. The St. Charles County Ambulance District quickly arrived and undertook life-saving measures. Unfortunately, despite efforts to resuscitate him, Kelker-Kelly was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m.
In her statements to the authorities, Allison Kelly insisted that her husband had no known medical conditions and was not on any prescription medications at the time of his death. She also mentioned that he had not suffered any significant injuries or undergone surgery within the past year. Following their investigation, the St. Peters Police Department communicated with the St. Charles County Medical Examiner and determined there was no need for further inquiry, thus closing the case.
