Slayyyter, the rising pop sensation known for her energetic performances, has announced the cancellation of two shows in Europe due to medical advice following a total loss of her voice. The singer, whose real name is Catherine Garner, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, October 21, to share the disappointing news with her fans.

She revealed that, in the interest of protecting her vocal health, doctors advised her to cancel her upcoming performances in Copenhagen and Hamburg. “Hey guys – I fully lost my voice and doctors are recommending that I cancel the shows to protect further damage,” she wrote, expressing her heartbreak over the situation. Slayyyter had been scheduled to take the stage at Vega in Copenhagen on October 22 and Fabrik in Hamburg on October 23.

The cancellation follows a recent string of performances in major cities, including Paris, Amsterdam, and Cologne, where her vocal prowess had been on full display. “Tour will resume in Warsaw on the 24th after I have a chance to regain my voice,” she reassured her fans. Accompanying her announcement, she expressed her desire to make it up to her supporters, stating, “I’m so sorry and hope to make it up to you soon. I love you guys so much.” Ticket refunds for the cancelled shows will be available at the point of purchase.

Despite this setback, Slayyyter’s European tour is set to continue beyond Warsaw, with a series of sold-out shows scheduled until November 5. Performances in cities like Prague, Berlin, and the UK are on the horizon, and the singer’s itinerary promises to remain busy as she plans to take her tour to Sydney, Australia, in February 2027. The tour’s highlight is a highly-anticipated headlining concert at Madison Square Garden on June 21, 2027.
In a noteworthy development for her music career, the 30-year-old artist recently unveiled her new album, titled wor$t man in america, which serves as a counterpart to her previous hit release, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA. According to a press release, the upcoming album will consist entirely of new material that revisits themes from her earlier work, offering a fresh perspective while maintaining continuity with her established sonic narrative.
The news of Slayyyter’s voice loss coincides with a resurgence of controversial posts from her adolescence that have resurfaced on social media. The musician previously expressed remorse for using racist language in a 2020 apology. She stated that she had once used slurs online, believing it to be humorous or edgy, but has since recognised the inappropriateness of her actions and the hurt they caused.
Slayyyter is not the only artist facing vocal challenges during this concert season. Fellow performer Role Model was recently forced to postpone and then ultimately cancel the final show of his tour after losing his voice due to illness. Additionally, Charli XCX also had to cancel an upcoming performance as she succumbed to sickness. In an emotional message on her Instagram, she lamented, “i have been fighting sickness throughout this run of shows and have now completely lost my voice.”
As the music industry grapples with a series of vocal health issues among its artists, Slayyyter’s determination to take care of her voice serves as a reminder of the physical demands placed on performers. Fans will be eagerly awaiting her return to the stage in Warsaw, looking forward to experiencing her vibrant performance style and new music once she has fully recovered.
