The Solano County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) confirmed that a 19-year-old woman from Dixon and a 20-year-old man from Vallejo were both transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. As of now, their current health conditions have not been disclosed. Witnesses reported a disagreement that escalated quickly, leading to the violent confrontation.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office characterised the stabbing as an “isolated incident,” indicating that it stemmed from a disagreement that “escalated far beyond what it should have.” Following a thorough search of the corn maze, authorities announced that a weapon had been recovered from the scene.
In the aftermath of the altercation, a 28-year-old man hailing from Sacramento was taken into custody. However, details about his involvement or the role he played in the incident remain unclear at this time, as investigations are still ongoing.
Staff members at Cool Patch Pumpkins expressed shock at the occurrence but noted the swift response of their team in ensuring help for the victims. Natalie Cooley, a staff member, highlighted the quick action that allowed medical assistance to reach those in need without delay. “It’s really unexpected,” she remarked, adding, “the biggest thing we got out of this was our staff acted really quickly.”
Despite the disturbing event, the pumpkin patch’s management has assured the public that their primary goal is to maintain a safe environment for families. Cooley reiterated this commitment, stating, “We are farmers at the end of the day. This is a family farm, and we just want to create a space where families can come and create memories and spend time together.”
In a bid to alleviate public concern, Cool Patch Pumpkins released a statement on their Facebook page acknowledging the incident. The post confirmed that local law enforcement had resolved the situation promptly and that there was no ongoing threat to public safety. “There is no current public safety threat,” the post stated, encouraging visitors to seek information exclusively from the Solano Sheriff’s Office concerning the incident.
The establishment has reassured its patrons that it will continue to operate for the remainder of the season, emphasising their dedication to providing a secure, family-friendly atmosphere. “The safety of our guests and employees is a priority,” their post concluded, promising to uphold community trust as they move forward.
As the investigation continues, the local community remains on alert, reflecting on the unexpected nature of the violence that took place at a traditionally family-oriented venue. The authorities are expected to share additional information as they work to piece together the events leading up to the stabbing, ensuring that such incidents are adequately addressed to prevent future occurrences.
