In her heartfelt post, Lydia shared a photograph of herself and her husband, Zac Wyse, standing near a tranquil body of water. “Thank you to everyone for all the love and prayers in this time,” she wrote, reflecting on the trauma of her recent experience. She detailed the severity of her condition, noting, “I ended up in the hospital as I was having the miscarriage. It was a really traumatic experience as I was hemorrhaging and bleeding to the point of passing out.” Lydia revealed that she required an emergency dilation and curettage (D&C), along with a blood transfusion, and indicated that she is on the road to recovery.

In her message, Lydia acknowledged the very profound sense of loss her and Zac are facing. “But even through all of that, we saw the hand of God protecting us and caring for us in the pain,” she reflected. She also highlighted the kindness of those around them, stating that it was heartening to witness the love shown towards their unborn child. “So many people have come together to care for us,” she wrote, capturing the support that has enveloped them during this trying period.
Lydia took a moment to extend her heartfelt thanks to her husband, commending him for grieving alongside her. She further expressed gratitude towards Zac’s employer for granting him time off work to be by her side during her recovery. “Thank you all again for the love, prayers and scripture verses,” she concluded her post, encapsulating a poignant moment of communal support.
Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, October 14, Lydia had first shared the news of her miscarriage on Instagram, describing the experience as one of immense sorrow. “There are no words for the pain as we grieve the loss of our little angel. Our first child, our greatest love, and a true miracle,” she wrote, conveying the depth of her emotional turmoil following the loss. In a touching tribute, she also acknowledged her late brother, Joshua, who tragically died at 17 months in a farming accident in 2008, saying, “Give my brother a hug for me.”
Lydia and Zac, both 22 years old, tied the knot in February 2025, just two months after announcing their engagement. The couple’s romance has been publicly acknowledged since November 2024, when they first shared their relationship on social media. Lydia had expressed her gratitude for Zac on Instagram, saying, “Words can’t describe how grateful I am the Lord has brought you into my life!”
Their wedding was held at Lydia’s family farm in Georgia on February 22, 2025. The occasion was highlighted by their decision to reserve their first kiss for the altar, a testament to the commitment they have made to one another. Zac had described this choice as exemplifying their dedication to their marriage.
The couple expressed that their commitment was motivated by a desire to reflect the love that exists between Jesus and the church, grounding their relationship in biblical principles. They have previously cited Ephesians 5:25 as a guiding verse in their lives together.
As Lydia navigates this challenging chapter in her life, her openness and vulnerability resonate with many who have faced similar heartaches. Her social media presence serves as a reminder that community and support can provide solace in the most testing of times. As she continues her journey of healing, Lydia and Zac are surrounded by a network of love, emphasising the importance of unity and compassion in moments of sorrow.
