Boise, Idaho, is set to welcome a new indoor destination for adventure seekers this December with the grand opening of Slick City. The park will take residence in the space previously occupied by a Jo-Ann Fabrics store, located at 1085 N. Milwaukee St., offering residents and visitors a vibrant new recreational spot.

Established in 2021, Slick City plans to provide an array of attractions designed to cater to visitors of all ages. According to owner Billy Muzio, the park aims to appeal to thrill-seekers, from adults to young children. “Slick City is designed for thrill-seekers of all ages. The Boise park will have plenty for older kids, teens, and adults, while younger guests can enjoy attractions like the 8-foot Littles Launch and dedicated soft play area,” Muzio stated in an interview with local news outlet Boise Dev.
The park promises an impressive lineup of 14 slides, which include eye-catching names such as the 25-foot Big Wave, the 20-foot Avalanche, Viper, Hyper Loop, Corkscrew, and Dragon, alongside two Mega Launch slides and the specially designed Littles Launch for younger visitors. The experience is said to be unique as it delivers the rush and speed typical of a water slide, without the necessity of water.
In addition to the slides, Slick City will also feature a variety of sports facilities. Multiple sports courts, a net course, and trapeze equipment will be available for those looking to engage in more physical activities. Furthermore, enthusiasts of arcade games will find themselves catered to, with the park offering over 25 different games to choose from.
The park is designed to be inclusive, featuring programming tailored for different audiences. Upcoming initiatives will include the Little Sliders Club, dedicated Sensory Slide Hours, and exciting Adults-Only Nights. There will also be social events such as a Homeschool Social and a Family Day, designed to foster community among different groups.
While the park primarily aims to attract families and younger visitors, the addition of themed evenings offers adults a chance to enjoy the fun in a more relaxed environment. This programming aspect demonstrates Slick City’s commitment to catering comprehensively to its diverse audience, striking a balance between family fun and adult entertainment.
Slick City promises not just a venue filled with slides and games. The facility is expected to inject a fresh sense of adventure into Boise’s recreational landscape, providing a new outlet for entertainment, particularly during the colder months when outdoor activities can be challenging.
The anticipation for Slick City’s opening is palpable, and the excitement is expected to rise as the launch date approaches. The park aims to join the ranks of other popular family-friendly attractions in the area, further enriching Boise’s offerings for local residents and tourists alike.
For anyone eager to experience the thrills of Slick City first-hand, December marks the month of the grand opening. As the first of its kind in Boise, this indoor amusement park holds the promise of becoming a favourite destination and haven for those in search of excitement and fun, regardless of weather conditions.
