Former ‘Selling Sunset’ star Bri Tiesi recently opened up about her relationship with the renowned television host and creator Nick Cannon during a candid conversation on Angela Yee’s Lip Service podcast. Tiesi, who shares a son named Legendary with Cannon, affectionately described him as her “life partner,” but also highlighted a significant dealbreaker that could potentially end their relationship.

Tiesi, now 35, expressed that her commitment to Cannon is strong; however, she revealed that if Cannon were to have another child, she would reconsider their partnership. “I only have like one deal breaker. One. And if it ever happens, then I might be out,” she said. When pressed to specify what that dealbreaker entailed, she stated, “If he has another baby.”

The mother of one elaborated on why this aspect of their relationship weighs heavily on her, citing the challenges of managing a career alongside parenthood. Tiesi explained the complexities of raising children in a household that has already grown significantly, saying, “There’s so much going on. I don’t even want to add another one because I feel the guilt of not having enough time.” She added, “You got the Brady Bunch. We’re not doing 13.”

Nick Cannon, 46, is a father to a notably large family, comprising eleven children with five different women. His oldest children include twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with his ex-wife, pop superstar Mariah Carey. Cannon’s other children include sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell, twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir alongside daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa, as well as daughter Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole. Furthermore, Cannon grieved the loss of his son Zen, who passed away at just five months old due to brain cancer, and he welcomed his daughter Halo Marie in December 2022 with Alyssa Scott.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Cannon discussed his parenting journey and expressed a desire to pause any further additions to his family. “I really don’t know. I’m being honest. I’m having so much fun in this space right now, and the way my bank account is set up, I’m going to press hold on this 12 for right now,” he stated. Nonetheless, Cannon acknowledged that his perspective might shift in the future.
While Tiesi is committed to her son and Cannon, she also addressed the multi-layered dynamics of co-parenting within a family that includes a myriad of mothers. During a conversation with E! News, Tiesi explained the difficulties of maintaining amicable relationships with the other mothers involved, noting, “There is no ‘we’ — we don’t balance anything.” She acknowledged her efforts to be understanding but admitted that collaboration can be challenging. “I’m very aware of the complicated family dynamic I’m a part of,” she explained.
Tiesi revealed her intentions to facilitate close relationships among her son and his siblings while stepping back from managing the complex interactions among their parents. “I’m just going to remove myself so that the children can have the best relationship,” she said earnestly. “It’s not my responsibility to be entirely honest. Nick has to step up and create an environment that supports the children.”
Looking to the future, Tiesi stated definitively that she does not plan on expanding her family further, making it clear: “Leggie’s not getting another sibling. I am done.” Her focus, she said, is on ensuring Legendary interacts well with his numerous siblings, while she embraces her existing role as a committed parent.
As Tiesi continues to navigate her relationship with Cannon and the multifaceted family dynamics, she remains anchored in her priorities as a mother. Through her open discussion, she shines a light on the complexities of modern parenting and underscores the personal boundaries that can exist within evolving family structures.
