Kat Timpf, the well-known panelist from Fox News’ “Gutfeld!”, has announced that she is expecting her second child just over a year after battling breast cancer. The 37-year-old comedian revealed her pregnancy on September 23 via a stand-up comedy clip shared on Instagram, lightheartedly joking, “Are you guys surprised? So was I.”

In the clip, she playfully lifted her jacket to show off her baby bump and made further quips about her husband Cameron Friscia’s military background, comparing their childbearing journey to an enduring commitment. “What he said would be a quick little excursion is looking more like an 18-year commitment,” she joked, before adding, “I’ve had enough surgery. It’s someone else’s f—ing turn,” referencing her own health journey.
Timpf’s pregnancy comes after a major health scare that occurred shortly before the birth of her first child in February 2025. She had been diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer, known as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), after noticing a concerning lump on her nipple during pregnancy. Despite initial dismissiveness regarding the lump, she sought medical advice, which led to an ultrasound and subsequent biopsy.
The diagnosis was a shock to Timpf, who stated that processing this information was overwhelming. She went into labour just hours after receiving the news, welcoming her son shortly thereafter. “I was completely in shock,” she recounted in a previous interview, noting that the circumstances of her diagnosis were profoundly surreal and frightening.
Faced with crucial medical decisions, Timpf had the option of either a double mastectomy or a lumpectomy combined with additional treatments. In a reflective moment, she shared, “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do — but it was an easy decision,” choosing to undergo a double mastectomy on March 19, just a month after giving birth. She articulated the complexity of her emotions, explaining that while losing her breasts was devastating, it ultimately felt empowering to take steps to reduce the risk of a cancer recurrence.
Since the surgery, Timpf has been open about the emotional challenges and changes her family has faced during her second pregnancy, particularly in light of her altered body image. “It’s very exciting, but obviously a very, very difficult thing for our family,” she remarked during a recent appearance on Fox News.
In a show of support and solidarity, Timpf’s sister, Julia, recently announced she would be running the New York City Marathon to raise funds for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, further highlighting the importance of cancer research and support for affected families. Timpf expressed her gratitude for this initiative, stating, “If we’re able to raise money because this happened, then it’s not just a negative thing anymore. It’s a positive thing, giving us the opportunity to help other women and other families.”
Through humour and candidness, Timpf has become a voice of resilience and empowerment in the face of adversity. As her journey continues, she remains committed to advocating for awareness around breast cancer and supporting those in similar situations. Her latest pregnancy announcement has been met with joy from her supporters, who have followed her story closely, and she is looking forward to expanding her family once again.
