The actress is promoting the restaurant’s latest menu, dubbed the Frights Feats menu, which is marked by its garlic-infused selections such as Black Garlic Glaze, Vampire Hunter Wings, and Cheese Curds, along with a special Vampirita cocktail.

The campaign resonates with Gellar’s personal life, particularly as her 14-year-old son is a fan of the chain. During a conversation with PEOPLE, she expressed his excitement, stating, “As you can imagine, there are a lot of Buffalo Wild Wings in my house, so he was so excited.” Gellar and her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., are parents to two children: daughter Charlotte Grace, born in 2009, and son Rocky James, who arrived in 2012.
Reflecting on her participation in the project, Gellar appreciated the creativity involved in the campaign. “I think our business has changed so much, and you get to be so creative in so many different ways,” she noted. “I just thought I love their take. It was fun and kitschy, and it was like, ‘Yeah, of course I want to be a part of that.’”
The actress also reminisced about an unusual Halloween experience from her childhood in New York City that involved an encounter with Brad Kane, who is now the writer and executive producer of the upcoming *Friday the 13th* prequel series, *Crystal Lake*. She revealed, “I got totally terrorised by an older boy in my best friend’s building. He made it his mission that year to really terrorise us.” That older boy was Kane, who donned a Jason mask and made Gellar’s Halloween quite memorable by frightening her and her friend in the stairwell.
When it comes to Halloween-themed films, Gellar’s personal favourite remains the 1997 slasher classic *I Know What You Did Last Summer*. “I guess I would have to say now the new *I Know What You Did Last Summer* because not only was my husband in it, but my best friend directed it,” she added, referencing an upcoming instalment of the franchise scheduled for release in 2025.
