Eryn noted, “He absolutely adores Earth, Wind & Fire. We play their songs in the car, and he enjoys watching their old concert videos on YouTube, pretending he is part of the band.” The immersive disco theme not only showcased William’s passion but also transformed his birthday into an extraordinary event.
Eryn, who runs a professional organising business, delved deeply into planning this celebration, steering away from conventional children’s parties. She aimed to construct an atmosphere reminiscent of an intimate concert and dance party. Drawing inspiration from Earth, Wind & Fire’s album covers, disco aesthetics, and warm sunset hues, Eryn ensured the party retained its playful edge suitable for young children.
“It was crucial for me that the party remained functional for the two-year-olds,” she remarked. “While I wanted it to appeal to the adults, the children required an environment where they could run freely and enjoy themselves.” With this in mind, she carefully selected decorations that complemented the party theme, which included a warm palette of oranges, yellows, and silver disco balls.
