YouTube sensations Ms. Rachel and Mr. Aron have launched their first album, ‘I’m So Happy’, featuring 23 newly arranged versions of songs from their beloved children’s show, Ms. Rachel. The album was released on September 25, welcoming a collection that highlights the duo’s musical talents and their commitment to fostering learning through music.

Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Accurso, and her husband, Mr. Aron (full name Aron Accurso), have captivated audiences with their engaging style, which blends music, play and education. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Mr. Aron expressed their excitement, stating, “Music is at the heart of our show and at the heart of our relationship and family, so this means a lot to us.” The release comes as a celebration of their work, embodying the joy of music that has resonated with their young viewers.

The album is not just another children’s music record; it includes reimagined classics such as “Hop Little Bunnies” and “Icky Sticky Bubblegum”, as well as fan favourites that have gained traction on their YouTube channel, which boasts over 21 million subscribers and an astonishing 17 billion views. “Music is so fun and joyful and a lot of little kids love to learn through play,” shared Rachel, recalling how her own children, including her eight-year-old son and one-year-old daughter, enjoy dancing and engaging with the songs.

Mr. Aron played a significant role in crafting the orchestral sound of the album due to his background in musical theatre and experience as a composer and conductor on Broadway. He elaborated on the planning process, saying, “I looked at each of the songs individually and thought about what the album version could be.” This thoughtful approach also involved gathering a team of 19 vocalists and 42 instrumentalists, creating a rich tapestry of sound that enhances the listening experience for both children and adults.

The couple’s journey into children’s education began with the creation of the series “Songs for Littles” in 2019, initially sparked by their personal experiences as parents. Rachel, who holds dual master’s degrees in early childhood education and music education, believes that teaching children through songs not only aids in language development but also encourages imaginative play. Mr. Aron added, “One of the best parts is that it’s really good for children and caregivers to bond together, to sing and laugh and dance.”

For instance, Rachel composed “I Love You to the Moon” as a heartfelt tribute to her son, Thomas, when he was just six months old.
