Renowned singer-songwriter Tori Amos is preparing to expand her literary repertoire with the upcoming release of a new children’s book titled *A Sorta Fairytale*. Scheduled for publication in spring 2027, this enchanting tale serves as a companion piece to her previous work, *Tori and the Muses*, released in 2025.
Amos, a Grammy-nominated artist known for her poignant songwriting and immersive storytelling, is revisiting the whimsical universe she initially crafted in her first children’s book. The title of the upcoming book derives from a song on her critically acclaimed 2002 album, *Scarlet’s Walk*. In this new narrative, young Tori embarks on an adventure with her animal companions in the mythical setting of The Emerald Forest, where they must unite to confront the nefarious Mr. Bad Man. The synopsis promises a blend of magic and collaboration, as Tori and her friends work to build a unique pink piano that will empower Tori’s music and help restore the brilliance of their hometown, Rose Dover.
Reflecting on her inspiration for the book, Amos expressed her belief that there are more stories waiting to be told within the enchanting world of *Tori and the Muses*. “After I finished [*Tori and the Muses*], I knew there were still stories calling to me, especially from the creatures who helped shape that world,” she stated. This insight drove Amos to delve deeper into the narrative possibilities of Rose Dover and The Emerald Forest.
