Kelly Stafford opened up about the balance they maintain in their household, showcasing how her partnership with Wayfair has facilitated the creation of a home that is both comfortable and stylish. With the launch of Wayfair’s Delivers platform, the couple have been able to design their living space to support family interactions, especially during the football season, when hosting friends and family takes precedence.
“Our life has a lot of football in it,” Kelly commented. “I wouldn’t say it revolves around it. Our life revolves around our children.” She explained that while much of Matthew’s identity is tied to his role as a professional quarterback, at home, he is simply ‘Dad’. Their daughters often want to be near him, snuggled up on the couch, sharing precious moments after he returns from training and games.

Kelly and Matthew, who tied the knot in April 2015 after meeting at the University of Georgia, are raising twins Sawyer and Chandler, aged nine, alongside their younger daughters, Hunter, aged eight, and Tyler, aged six. Kelly reflected on the importance of making their home a haven for the girls. “We love football, we love going to games, but home is always special, and you want to make it as comfortable as you can,” she noted.

The Stafford family’s daily routine revolves around work and family time, which Kelly described as the most fulfilling aspect of their lives. After school and homework, the children spend quality time with Matthew, enjoying life as a family unit. “That’s every night. So we’re lucky in that sense,” she added.
This season marks Matthew’s 18th year in the NFL, following a significant career that began in 2009 when he was selected first overall by the Detroit Lions. After 12 seasons in Detroit, he joined the Rams in January 2021 and enjoyed immediate success, leading the team to a Super Bowl victory in his first season.
Kelly has been open about the joy her family takes in attending games in support of Matthew, often coordinating matching outfits to cheer for the reigning NFL MVP. That said, she also values the comfort of watching games from home. “We do host a lot during the football season,” she revealed. “We want them to feel like this is their second home because a lot of it is our extended family, and being far away from them is tough.”
Creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests is essential to Kelly, and she believes it starts with quality home essentials. “I want them to feel comfortable, and that all starts with good beds, good towels and everything that you can get from Wayfair,” she explained.
In the promotional campaign launched alongside their partnership with Wayfair, viewers are treated to a vibrant portrayal of family life featuring Kelly, Matthew, and their girls. The advertisement, which is set to be aired during Monday Night Football on ESPN and ABC, beautifully captures the essence of their hectic yet joyful family life.
Throughout the interview, Kelly praised Matthew’s remarkable ability to transition seamlessly between the pressures of his career and the responsibilities of being a devoted father. “He really is an incredible man,” she reflected with admiration. “And it’s a testament to him. It really is. He’s a good man.”
As the football season unfolds, the Staffords continue to navigate the blend of professional and family priorities while ensuring their home remains a nurturing environment for their daughters. Through partnerships like Wayfair, they illustrate that even amidst the chaos of professional sports, family and comfort come first.
