The Black Cat Frappuccino features a delectable chocolate cake flavour, adorned with a swirl of whipped cream and topped with an adorable cat-ear-shaped chocolate decoration. To complement the drink, the new Venti Black Night Cookie will also be available. This impressive confection is made from black cocoa and is generously studded with bits of caramel fudge and caramelised white chocolate, described as both “large” and “shareable.”
Starbucks’ announcement of the Black Cat Frappuccino came via an engaging Instagram post which humourously depicted a black cat tipping over the drink. The cat, voiced by internet sensation Sir Arthur Meows, interacts with onlookers in a playful manner, igniting excitement among fans in the comments. One follower remarked on the whimsical theme, while another playfully indicated a shift from their usual Pumpkin Spice Latte in favour of the new treat.

As part of its autumn offerings, the Black Cat Frappuccino will be highlighted alongside an innovative drink called the Aerocano. This new take on the traditional iced Americano features Starbucks’ “air-whipped” Blonde Espresso. Along with these beverages, the company is also introducing a selection of Mini Pies set to launch on September 29. Flavours include Apple Crumble, Pecan, and Pumpkin Mini Pies, each crafted to present a delightful taste of the autumn season.
In addition to these new launch items, the 2023 Starbucks fall menu, which debuted on 25th August, also features the much-loved Pumpkin Spice Latte, along with a variety of other seasonal beverages that incorporate pumpkin and banana bread themes. A brand new drink called Chaider, which combines chai and apple cider, is also making its debut this season.

Food offerings for autumn will include items such as the Chicken Bacon Protein Pocket, a Hedgehog Cake Pop, and the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, ensuring a well-rounded selection for customers. Furthermore, customers can anticipate a collection of Halloween-themed merchandise to be available at select Starbucks locations starting from 15th September.
Among the new merchandise, customers can look forward to a black cat mug, creatively designed with a curious feline peering over a pumpkin-shaped white ceramic mug, priced at £19.95. Additionally, a cauldron mug will be offered, alongside a unique black cat stainless steel cold cup that boasts a matte finish with glow-in-the-dark cat silhouettes. This cold cup retails at £29.95, demonstrating Starbucks’ commitment to seasonal creativity.
Further adding to the Halloween spirit is a charming Black Cat Bearista Plush Bag Charm, representing a bear dressed in a playful black cat costume. This accessory, available for £14.95, features a bag charm clip and doubles as a keychain.
This seasonal promotion follows Starbucks’ recent collaboration with Peanuts, celebrating the 60th anniversary of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” The limited-edition merchandise included ten collectible items, igniting nostalgia among fans of the beloved cartoon.
As the fall season approaches, Starbucks aims to delight its customers with festive flavours and whimsical merchandise, inviting all to indulge in the spirit of Halloween with their new offerings.
