A search for a missing newlywed man in East Greenbush, New York, has ended in sorrow as authorities confirmed the discovery of his body in a wooded area. Dominick Bianchi, aged 35, was last observed at his home on Forrest Pointe Drive on the morning of Tuesday, September 8. He had only recently married his wife, Julianna Zyra, several months prior.

The East Greenbush Police Department (EGPD) issued a statement expressing concern for Bianchi’s welfare when he was reported missing, noting that he suffered from Type 1 diabetes and may not have had necessary medical supplies with him. Family members highlighted that he left home without his wallet, phone, or vehicle, which remained parked at the residence. His wife mentioned he was using a continuous glucose monitor that was linked to his phone, raising concerns about his health as he might not have been able to check his blood sugar levels.

Julianna Zyra publicly disclosed that Bianchi had been grappling with mental health issues for some time. She urged the community to refrain from speculating about his disappearance and emphasised the seriousness of his condition.
