Jack in the Box, the popular fast-food chain, has announced an exciting collaboration with the long-running animated series, The Simpsons, to celebrate its Halloween specials. As part of this partnership, Jack in the Box is launching a special menu featuring the innovative “Treehouse of Horror” Munchie Meal, alongside an array of themed entrees and collectible items.

The Munchie Meal of Horror offers patrons a choice between two uniquely designed sandwiches: the Double Krusty Burger of Terror and the Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror. Each meal is served with a side of two tacos, curly fries, and a drink. Central to this culinary venture is the exclusive Spooky Simpsons Sauce, a smoky BBQ ketchup crafted specifically for this collaboration that is sure to delight fans of the series.
Packaging plays a key role in the promotion, as each meal is presented in a “Treehouse of Horror” box. These boxes contain hidden references, or Easter eggs, from The Simpsons’ extensive repertoire of Halloween specials. The upcoming Halloween episode, titled “Treehouse of Horror XXXVII”, is set to feature parodies of popular culture icons such as Freaky Friday, Pet Sematary, and Smile. Additionally, it will showcase a stop-motion segment reminiscent of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
For collectors and fans of The Simpsons, Jack in the Box is also rolling out six glow-in-the-dark cups featuring beloved characters in spooky forms. The cups include representations of Bart’s mischievous twin brother Hugo, Krusty the Clown with a Jack head, and variations of other fan-favourite characters like Marge and Homer. This collectible release encourages diners to not only enjoy a meal but to take home a piece of this unique collaboration.
If customers prefer a lighter option, the limited-time menu includes various burgers and sandwiches based on the show’s characters. Options feature the Krusty Burger of Terror, the Double Krusty Burger of Terror, and the Triple Krusty Burger of Terror, alongside the aforementioned chicken sandwich. In addition, Jack in the Box is paying homage to one of The Simpsons’ most iconic treats—the pink glazed doughnut. This nod comes in the form of warm Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes, which are coated with cinnamon sugar, topped with pink frosting, and adorned with colourful sprinkles.
Matt Selman, the executive producer and showrunner of The Simpsons, described the collaboration as the most authentic and entertaining food partnership the show has undertaken. He believes that Jack in the Box has truly captured the spirit of the series with these creative offerings. According to Selman, fans can expect a meal rich with references to both The Simpsons and Jack in the Box, making this a must-try for enthusiasts of both brands.
The “Treehouse of Horror” menu options will be available for a limited time at participating Jack in the Box locations across the nation. Customers can also conveniently order through the brand’s app starting from Thursday, 10th September. As the excitement builds, the much-anticipated “Treehouse of Horror XXXVII” is set to air this fall, with promises of some of the series’ spookiest narratives yet.
Alongside this culinary experience, The Simpsons will return to television screens for its season 38 premiere on Sunday, 27th September, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
