Brandi described the moment as a “punch to the stomach” upon witnessing the destruction within their establishment. A closer examination revealed paw prints on various surfaces, leading them to review the surveillance footage. To their surprise, they discovered that the culprits were the trio of raccoons, who had spent approximately four hours rummaging through the restaurant, creating a mess that Brandi referred to as their “very own rave.”

The raccoons climbed from the ceiling, swinging from light fixtures and knocking dishes onto the floor in their spree. The aftermath was significant enough that the restaurant had to close its doors for the busy Labor Day weekend. Despite the chaos, community support has encouraged the McDermotts to persist in their efforts to repair and reopen the restaurant. “We are pushing forward, and we WILL reopen!” Brandi stated firmly.
