In a heartfelt tribute to a brand’s compassion, Katelynn Ordone has shared the unexpected kindness shown to her family by Pampers following the tragic loss of her son, Preston, who died in a car accident in April 2025. The influencer expressed her gratitude in a poignant Instagram video, detailing how Pampers honoured a financial commitment for an incomplete promotional partnership.

In her recent post, Ordone explained the circumstances that led to this generous act. She began by reflecting on a personal experience that illustrated the often harsh realities influencers face when working with brands. The mother highlighted a distressing tale of another influencer who lost her baby and was requested to return a crib intended for a sponsored video. This resonated deeply with Ordone, who went on to share her own story in the hope of shedding light on the generosity of her own experience.

Before the unfortunate accident that took her son’s life, Katelynn had been excited about a potential collaboration with Pampers. She recalled feeling thrilled at the prospect, as the brand’s products were already staples in her household. The partnership was described as a “very big brand deal,” underscoring the significance of the opportunity.
However, tragedy struck when, just prior to the planned filming, Ordone was involved in a serious car crash that claimed her young son’s life. Following this trauma, she found it difficult to return to her social media activities and partnerships, acknowledging that her emotional state was far from ready for such engagements.
In an unexpected turn of events, Ordone’s manager later informed her that Pampers would still fulfill their financial obligation despite the promotional video never being produced. “It was just simply like a donation,” she expressed, emphasising her surprise and appreciation for the company’s gesture. She admired that, despite the circumstances, the brand chose to extend support when it was least expected.
The heartfelt act resonated with Ordone on multiple levels, not only reaffirming her loyalty to the brand but also highlighting the human compassion at the core of their business ethos. “Not only did I already like Pampers already, but just to know that that’s the kind of people I’m supporting when I purchase — people that do things like that — makes me even more so want to support them,” she articulated.
Ordone clarified that Pampers had no foreknowledge of her video and that her decision to share this story stemmed purely from her desire to acknowledge their kindness during an incredibly challenging time. “This is what I just wanted to do on my own because I just thought it was really cool,” she added, reinforcing her admiration for the brand’s compassionate response.
Both Katelynn Ordone and her ex-husband, Jaelen, were involved in the tragic accident with their son. Reports from the Louisiana State Police revealed that their vehicle lost control and collided with a tree. The St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office later confirmed that Preston’s death was due to “blunt-force injuries,” officially categorising the incident as an accident. Fortunately, both parents survived the crash, and their daughter Paisley, age eight, was not present in the vehicle.
Just this past July, Ordone publicly shared the news of her divorce from Jaelen, further emphasising the profound changes her family has faced since the tragedy. Though her heart is still healing, her focus on sharing positive stories and highlighting acts of kindness remains steadfast.
Katelynn’s video not only serves as a personal reflection on her grief but also as a powerful reminder of the impact of compassion within the corporate world. She encourages others to support brands that exhibit generosity, especially in times of need, reinforcing the importance of kindness amidst adversity.
