In a tragic case that has gripped Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the remains of 15-year-old Ja’Derrius Minnieweather were discovered in a landfill following his reported disappearance on June 5. During a press conference on August 18, Baton Rouge Police Chief T.J. Morse provided details surrounding the case, revealing that Minnieweather’s remains had been concealed in a trash can and subsequently transported to the East Baton Rouge Parish North Landfill in Zachary, Louisiana. The search for Minnieweather’s body commenced on July 13 after law enforcement, alongside the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, established a perimeter within the landfill.

Over 4,000 cubic yards of landfill waste, equating to roughly 3,590 tons, were excavated during the search. These new allegations involve an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl. Parms now faces a total bond of $600,000 for all charges, as reported by authorities.
In response to her son’s death and the subsequent legal proceedings, Ja’Derrius Minnieweather’s mother, Aquarius Minnieweather, established a GoFundMe campaign to assist with burial expenses and provide emotional support for her family.
