According to the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD), the suspect, described as a male between the ages of 16 and 20, was first spotted harassing pedestrians near the intersection of 15th and Chestnut Streets. It was reported that the individual had been denied service at a nearby coffee shop shortly before the jogging incident.
The victim, a 40-year-old woman, was jogging along John F. Kennedy Boulevard when the suspect approached her and allegedly shouted, “Are you ready to die?” while holding his phone up to her face.
