In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 32-year-old dancer expressed her excitement about expanding her family. “I’m so incredibly grateful,” Carson shared. “We’re so blessed to keep growing our family. I can’t wait to become a family of five.” Her sons, Leo, aged five, and three-year-old Jet, have already filled their household with joy, and Carson is eager to welcome another addition.

And so if I can do both, then that’s what I want to do.” Furthermore, she mentioned the uniqueness of her situation, adding, “I’ll actually be the first professional dancer to compete being this far along pregnant.”
Earlier this year, Carson had reflected on the idea of another baby in a TikTok video where she voiced her mixed feelings, admitting that while the thought of a third child was both thrilling and daunting, she was also enjoying the stage of life her sons were currently in. “I feel like the boys are at such good ages right now, playing together, and I’m enjoying this phase of life. But I’m also ready to grow our family,” she shared.
Their relationship began in high school, and the couple tied the knot in 2016, subsequently welcoming their first son, Leo, in 2021, followed by Jet in 2023. Carson had previously taken a break from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ during its 32nd season to dedicate more time to her family. Reflecting on that period, she described the decision as “really difficult,” expressing her love for dancing but recognising her responsibilities as a mother during a significant transitional phase for her family.
Carson’s commitment to her family has been evident as she balances the demands of motherhood with her professional life. “I always want to be my 110% on anything that I do,” she explained, mentioning her three-month postpartum recovery. She ultimately decided to focus on being a full-time mother to cherish the small but significant moments that come with parenthood.
