Erikson commenced her ambitious organisation project in October 2025, around the same time that construction on the garage began. Sorting through her decades’ worth of accumulated holiday decorations took considerable time and effort. After nearly eight months of hard work, she successfully sorted and moved over 2,000 items into her new 1,500-square-foot storage room, which she likened to a personal HomeGoods store.

The organisation process did not come without challenges. Erikson noted that unearthing years’ worth of belongings was overwhelming, but it also provided clarity. “Taking everything out of the bins and seeing it all laid out was overwhelming, but it was also the turning point,” she admitted. No longer purchasing duplicate items, she is utilising her collection more efficiently, which in turn saves her both time and money. It’s a reminder that I get to wake up every day and do something I genuinely love, and I don’t take that for granted for a second,” she enthused.
