**Florida Woman Arrested After 45-Day Manhunt Linked to Murder Case**

A lengthy manhunt for Isabelle Johnson, 38, has culminated in her arrest in connection with the murder of Jason Coulthart, a 43-year-old man whose remains were discovered in a shallow grave in June. Johnson was apprehended on 13 August 2023, following a 45-day search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), Johnson was located at a residence near Cottondale, in Jackson County, Florida. The arrest occurred at around 2:30 p.m. local time, and it was reported that she was taken into custody without incident by members of a U.S. Marshals Task Force. Subsequent investigations conducted by the WCSO’s Cyber Crime Unit had played a crucial role in tracking Johnson’s communications, leading to her capture.

Following her arrest, Johnson was extradited to Walton County, where she now faces charges related to Coulthart’s death. Court records indicate that she is currently being held without bond, with additional charges anticipated as the investigation progresses.

Chief Deputy Dustin Cosson of the WCSO expressed gratitude towards law enforcement agencies that assisted in the search, highlighting that the efforts of investigators, rather than media coverage or tips from the public, were instrumental in locating Johnson. “Thank you is truly not enough to express our appreciation,” he stated in a release.

Prior to her capture, authorities disclosed that Johnson was known to assume various identities and aliases, making her a challenging target for law enforcement. She reportedly operated under names such as Harley and Jessica Elaine Bowman, among others. Investigators had shared physical descriptions, including details of her distinct tattoos, in an effort to enlist public help in identifying her.

Jason Coulthart was reported missing in late May. Investigators received a significant lead on 25 June from an incarcerated individual, which directed them to the site where his remains were ultimately found. Located in Freeport, the grave was said to be partially covered with concrete, and a black Cadillac was found parked over it, alongside a zip tie that had been placed around Coulthart’s neck.

Coulthart’s family has since been vocal about their grief, emphasising the importance of remembering him not just as a victim but as a beloved individual with personal relationships. He was a father to a 20-year-old son and had roots in New Jersey, highlighting the profound impact of his loss on those who knew him. “Their son. Timothy’s big brother. A father. A friend. Someone who made people feel cared for. Someone worth knowing. Someone worth finding justice for,” authorities remarked in earlier communications.

The investigation into this case has also seen the arrest of five individuals accused of aiding Johnson in evading capture following the alleged murder. These accomplices face charges for providing shelter, supplies, and transportation, as well as for misleading investigators about her whereabouts.

As of now, it remains unclear whether Johnson has legal representation to speak on her behalf regarding these serious allegations. The authorities have yet to respond to requests for comments on her case as of 15 August.
