In a recent revelation, social media influencer Lycette Beatty has opened up about her experience with AirSculpt, a non-invasive body contouring procedure she underwent to address her so-called “hip dips.” The influencer, who boasts a considerable following on Instagram under the handle @lycetteofficial, spoke to her followers about the details of the procedure and her recovery process.

Beatty had the surgery performed earlier in the summer and subsequently shared a question-and-answer session on Instagram, where she elaborated on her decision to opt for the procedure. Hip dips, medically referred to as violin hips, are indentations located between the hip and thigh, which some individuals may wish to minimise for aesthetic reasons.

During her consultation, Beatty was informed that the procedure could include fat removal from her hip dips, alongside the potential for fat transfer to enhance other areas of her body, such as her hips, breasts, or buttocks. Ultimately, she chose to have the removed fat transferred to both her hips and buttocks, while also addressing fat accumulation around her “bra rolls” and tightening her abdominal skin.
The influencer was enthusiastic about the process, highlighting that she was able to undergo the procedure without the requirement to gain weight beforehand. Medical professionals evaluated her candidacy for the surgery beforehand, ensuring that she was an appropriate candidate for the treatment plan.
Beatty pointed out key differences between AirSculpt and traditional liposuction. The latter is often seen as a more invasive procedure that typically requires general anaesthesia, as well as potentially leading to greater swelling, bruising, and longer recovery times. In contrast, AirSculpt employs smaller tools and creates minimal entry points, resulting in reduced bodily trauma and providing a quicker recovery period — something Beatty found particularly appealing.
In terms of her recovery, Beatty reported that she experienced a downtime of roughly two days. However, she did mention that she wasn’t permitted to sit on her buttocks for a month following the surgery, an aspect of the recovery that requires careful attention.
On the day of her procedure, Beatty was initially not given nitrous oxide (often referred to as laughing gas). However, she later requested it after being somewhat surprised by the sensation of pain. Nevertheless, she noted that the level of discomfort was manageable, estimating it to be around four out of ten. Beatty recounted an upbeat atmosphere during the procedure, stating that she and her medical team were in high spirits, even singing together at times.
In an interesting twist, Beatty disclosed that her AirSculpt procedure was covered through her partnership with the brand, although the typical cost for such surgery is around £2,500.
Following her recovery, Beatty shared before-and-after footage on her social media, allowing her followers to see the changes to her waistline four weeks post-operation. Although she reported feeling “very swollen” and numb during that time, her overall sentiment towards the results was one of satisfaction.
Expressing her enthusiasm, she stated, “I’m obsessed. I think it looks really good,” emphasizing her happiness with the ongoing transformation.
In her concluding remarks, Beatty conveyed her excitement about the outcome of her AirSculpt procedure, remarking, “I’m very freaking happy with my AirSculpt results so far. It’s all coming together.” The influencer’s candid sharing of her journey offers insight into the growing trend of cosmetic procedures among social media personalities, sparking conversations about body image and self-acceptance in the process.
