Living with her husband, David Lemanowicz, and their daughters in a charming renovated farmhouse in Tennessee, Wagner prioritises family life and nature over the hustle and bustle of urban living.

For Wagner, who was raised in a military family, the show resonates deeply on a personal level. Their wedding took place at the Rose Hill Plantation in North Carolina, followed by the joy of welcoming their first child together—daughter Army Gray—in April 2020. Wagner explained that the first name of their daughter was inspired by her husband’s military background, while her middle name, Gray, was a name that Wagner cherished for its strength and femininity. The family had also welcomed Lemanowicz’s daughter, Lija, into their new home, adding a dynamic of sisterhood.

Less than a year later, in August 2021, the family grew again with the arrival of another daughter, Daisy Roberta. Wagner shared heartfelt thoughts on social media, praising Lemanowicz as her hero during a difficult labour process, underscoring the strong bond they share as partners and parents. Their life together has been heavily grounded in mutual support, resulting in a close-knit family atmosphere.

The couple made a significant life decision to move from Los Angeles to a ‘Little House on the Prairie’ style farmhouse in Tennessee, a transition that represented a return to their roots. Wagner expressed that while she holds fond memories of her time in Los Angeles, she identifies more with the serenity of rural living. The couple found a home in a 1912 farmhouse that initially appeared daunting yet held immense potential for restoration. The decision to remodel the farmhouse was a collective dream, establishing a space where their children could grow in close contact with nature.

The renovation of their historic farmhouse didn’t come without its challenges, but Wagner noted the satisfaction that came from restoring a piece of history. “We wanted a family, and I saw my children running around in the front yard,” she reflects, demonstrating a deep appreciation for their home and lifestyle. The surroundings allow Wagner to reconnect with nature, balancing her acting career and family life harmoniously.

Wagner finds joy in the simplicity of rural life, engaging in activities such as gardening and enjoying the great outdoors with her daughters. “Some friends in L.A. are like, ‘What do you do there?’” she says, highlighting her affinity for a lifestyle rich with nature and community.
