A tragic incident unfolded on Friday, 7th August at the Agios Neophytos Monastery in Paphos, Cyprus, leaving two individuals hospitalised following a stabbing attack allegedly committed by a fellow monk. A 51-year-old monk has been accused of targeting the victims with a box cutter after he was asked to leave the monastery by a group of priests.

The assailant, described as a Romanian national, reportedly refused to vacate the monastery when requested.
