According to the Folsom Fire Department, the girl was with a group of young people participating in a common activity of jumping from the bridge into Lake Natoma. Eyewitnesses noted her inability to move upon the arrival of emergency crews, although she remained conscious and was able to communicate.
The rescue operation involved a coordinated effort from several units of the Folsom Fire Department, including Engine 36, Battalion Chief 15, Boat 35, and Medic 35.
